The Bachelor Party / Stag Night Page
I've organised a couple of Bachelor Parties in my time, so I know how hard it can be to get it just right. In my article about Good Bachelor Party Ideas I've run through a few ideas based on my own experiences (Best Man three times, Groom twice!). Let me expand on the "Groom's Tasks" ideas I mention in the article
The basic idea is that you give the groom a series of tasks to perform during the course of the evening. This is similar to a Treasure hunt, in that you give the groom a list of slightly embarrassing tasks, and as he does the tasks, you tick them off. It's simple and effective, but what do you put on the list? Try to avoid anything that's illegal, or anything that might result in a disease being caught. Also, steer clear of any task involving removing clothes - if they get lost, it will ruin the groom's night, and worst case, could get him arrested! Here are a few ideas that should fit the bill:
- Jump up and down on the spot while ordering drinks at the bar
- Wear his trousers back to front
- Put on a fake foreign accent and ask for directions
- Obtain an item of female underwear
- Sing and do the actions for "YMCA" in a gay bar
- Keeping a straight face, in every bar or pub, ask the waitress or bartender if she/he knows where he can get a drink
You get the idea! Use your imagination and think of some more. Get all the other guys in the party to think of a few. Oh, and if you can afford it, don't forget to get everyone kitted out with their Bachelor Party T-shirts!
BUT... and it's a BIG BUT - if you REALLY want to make your Bachelor Party the best ever, you've got to check this out. True, I won't pretend it's free - it'll cost a few bucks - but I got invited to a Bachelor Party last year, and the Best Man had bought this system, and man.... it was awesome!
Good luck! Zander
